The instructions on the JoS site are confusing me. For both of them, the step by step instructions constituting one round are very different from the summarized steps. So which of them is right?

That's what confused me too. But if you look at the full chakra meditation page, the instructions and the summary is the same.

How important is that meditation? I can not do it without getting enough air because my nose is always clogged and congested. I was wondering how important the meditation is compared to the other.

Ok just two more questions on this..
I see from the complete chakra meditation page how to correctly do the holding at the top exercise. But the holding at the bottom, the step by step guide is double what the summarized guide says. So does the step by step or summary make one full round? And just to be clear, it starts and ends with a left inhale, so at the end of each round must i exhale normally thru both nostrils before starting again with just the left, or must i continue it in a flow and end only the last round with the left inhale?

This is one round for holding at the top:
Inhale though left; hold; exhale through right; inhale through right; hold; exhale through left.
For the inhales and exhales, count for 4 or whatever you feel is best for you, but keep it the same number throughout. For the holding, hold for a count of 6 or whatever you feel is best for you.
Now, right after round 1, inhale through left again. Don't take a break to breath through both nostrils. Keep a smooth flow.
One round of holding at the bottom:
Inhale through left; exhale through right; hold; inhale through right; exhale through left; hold.
Did I clear it up?
Hail father Satan!

Perfectly. Thanks Lydia. That's how I always did them, but reading the instructions while looking for meditations to add to my program confused me.
