The Gods Ahura Mazda =zeuse?

AvatarAsk Zeus Operator1 min to read

Hello to everyone who is reading this article!

While researching different gods, I came across your website and found the section about the gods. I mean the section where you present the characteristics of the gods along with their manifestations and discuss them.

I opened the page about Zeus. One of the deities identified with Zeus was the Iranian god Ahura Mazda. I had previously researched this god, and I was genuinely surprised to see these two gods being identified as the same.

Ahura Mazda and his prophet were opposed to every form of paganism. Even the moral characteristics of Zeus and Ahura Mazda are different. Ahura Mazda considers homosexuality to be contrary to the human spirit and nature, and regards it as an act of demon worship (an immoral act), whereas Zeus did not prohibit such behavior.

In addition, today there are millions of Zoroastrians who claim that their religion was the first monotheistic religion, and really this to be true. Ahura Mazda has always been understood as the one and only God, not simply a god who was more powerful than the other gods.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to respond.

Modern zoroastrianism is understood as monotheistic, but the religion has undergone a long historical development. Even in the Achaemenid period, Ahura Mazda appears alongside other Deities, as Mithra and Anahita in inscriptions. So, the subject is more nuanced than it first appears.

The identification of Ahura Mazda with Zeus is not based on modern Zoroastrianism, which differs from what it originally was. This identification is based on a deeper principle, not on cultural conventions or inventions. Rather, it is based on the very fabric of the Cosmos and on the way it externalizes and manifests itself in reality, in different places and among different peoples.

Both represent the same real Cosmic Intelligence: what has been recognized by many peoples as the Supreme Heavenly Father, Justice, Divine Order, the Principle of Wisdom, and so on.

Ancient authors such as Herodotus, Aristotle, Plutarch, and others testify in their writings that this identification was already recognized in antiquity.

The dogmas that developed later are unrelated to this identification. They have a yehboric foundation.

Dove l'essenza dell'esistenza risiede
Il nulla dell'oblio viene superato
E il figlio prode avanza verso la Vittoria.

Thank you for your guidance. So, it seems that Zoroastrianism can no longer be regarded as a pagan religion worth following.

But before that, could you clarify one point for me? Weren't there other gods before Zoroaster, such as Mithra and others? What exactly happened? Didn't Zoroaster, similar to the Abrahamic religions, tell people to refrain from worshipping them because they were considered daevas (demons)?

This was something that developed gradually over time. It was not Zoroaster.

Many allegories within this mythology, as well as spiritual principles that describe different layers of reality, were increasingly interpreted in a more literal way throughout time. This contributed to the development of a more dogmatic understanding and vision (as the condemnation of the Daevas and their worship). Zoroaster taught certain principles and teachings, but over time these were subject to a dogmatic reinterpretation.

As previously suggested, if you have the opportunity, study the page of Zeus in the Temple of Zeus website, as many of the questions you may ask are addressed there.

This is the targeted message.

You should study in depth ToZ. To start see similarities, there is also explanations about it in the same Ahura Mazda page on ToZ.

Homosexuality is not literally to take as well, it’s about energies not people, energies which can work in union through the Soul and etc.

About taking literally things you can also see in the same Ahura Mazda page in our ToZ.

Different cultures had different faces of Zeus and in turn different teaching but in the bigger picture they all was teaching the same which was civilisation, development, wisdom and Godhood, and etc.

All the symbolism resemblance from other cultures and etc, points towards God being the same but representing a different aspect and face of Zeus himself.

but to understand it, you should study everything on our Site, because Zeus is connected in His nature through all other head Gods of the other cultures, which if you study all of them, can start to see a bigger picture, and then see the resemblance of Ahura as well. Because not only these two Zeus and Ahura is two faces, but all other Gods through the world which are faces of Zeus, we have over 30 of them and all of them are Zeus. So take your time to study them all and you will see the resemblance between other names for example and Ahura Mazda. Study also Hadad God and etc.

so my question is did you actually read it?
