Sorry I can't think of any. I think what's already written in ToZ is a very good start. To understand synastry even more I'd say you should just keep studying Astrology in general. Knowing more and more about the energies of the planets and how they manifest themselves will also help you in synastry. Same principles.

See historical events, and than analyze the natal chart of it. Also analize moments of your life. Like a moment in this year where it was realy hard, the moment when for exemple your dads car broke down, when you couldn' met your friend, when it was in plan and so on...
