in regards to a friends post: Society wants everyone to go with the flow. You can't be yourself or think the way you want to. In essence society is the shepherd and we are the flock, and anyone who tries to stray away from the flock, be their own person or think for themselves, is cast out. Society doesn't want individualism or free thinking because it can cause a disruption in the "traditional flow of things." There's a reason why the saying goes "Free thinkers are dangerous," and that is why. Society wants you to "go with the flow" because it's easier to control people that way. If everyone just goes along with it and not ask questions or raise any suspicions or doubts then they can continue to carry out their agenda unhindered. In school, we are taught to be your own person and think for yourself, but we are taught in a way that is actually "reverse psychological" so to speak. As we get older we actually lose our sense of "identity" and just become another pawn on the board to be moved or sacrificed at a later time as deemed necessary or seen fit. This is all because society DOES NOT want change. Change disrupts the current flow and if the flow is disrupted or altered then society loses control. In order for there to be progress in any form of society there MUST be change. Point proven: Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Before he took office our government was ran a certain way and according to certain standards. He stepped in, as an individual and free thinker, and pushed for change which lead to great progress. Since then, no other world leader has made such an example of my point. The only person who would have was Kennedy. Hence his assassination. He theoretically would have been the next F.D.R. He had great plans for making change/progress that society didn't or couldn't accept so they took him out before he could do any "real" harm. So I tell you all: Don't let anyone tell you you're not worth something or make you feel inferior to them for if you take up your own individuality and make your choices according to what you feel is necessary or right or wrong you have become better than them by segregating yourself from the flock and taking control of your own life, whereas they are lesser than you as they cannot find the strength to take control of theirs.
