A Fact vs. A Creed

I was looking over the JoS website so that I could help others on the site to find stuff easier.  Then I realized something that I was doing wrong with regard to interpreting what I was reading and I was wondering how many others experienced the same thing.  On the first page home.html, I noticed that I was reading the red text to the right of the menu as though it was a creed.  A creed means, "I believe".  So, I believe this, I believe that, etc...  I just noticed that was the way I was reading it!  A belief is confidence in a truth.  Or it could mean an opinion or conviction regarding a truth.  So, I looked at every single line.  Turns out they are all facts!  It had nothing to do with my confidence level, opinion or convictions.  Every line is a fact!  Read in that manner, it is like reading something totally different.  I'm not near as brainwashed as the majority regarding slavery.  That certainly woke me up.  I think the column needs a title.  "FACTS (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH A CREED)".

Well as far as I know, your not supposed to have confidence/faith in a truth, you KNOW the truth.

@deadsilent666I didn't have the truth.  I didn't think I was suppose to.  Now I know its the truth and not a belief.  Its a good day.
