should i do a sun square for healing my eyesight, because sun is used for healing, even though its not the eyes themselves that are unhealthy but rather the nerves, or should i wait for mercury which rules the nervous system?
also, considering its a physical issue, but (probably) influenced by my natal chart quite a bit (4+ bad aspects and degrees), should i do a material, spiritual, or both?

Both squares are good for this. The spiritual square is to remove the root cause, and the material square can be used for material gains, such as equipment, people/situations, funds, and so on. Both approaches can be utilized.
