Question About Solar Returns

How exactly do we get an accurate chart for solar returns? Do I use a webite like astro.com and type in my birth info for 2020 and add the current place where I live, which is different from my natal birth place? I'm currently using a website called Planet Watcher, but when I looked at my solar return day and time, the sun seems to be a degree off and it seems to be a little inaccurate. The sun is my chart ruler, so im guessing it has a bit more importance in solar returns then most other people and it obviously happens on my birthday.

Should I use the planet watcher website and compare the planets on my birthday to the planets on my birth chart, or should I make another new chart from astro.com for my 2020 solar return, along with adding in my current area where I live and compare that one to my birth chart?

Just asking what is the best way to find an accurate solar return chart for myself, or the best way to study my solar return, that's all.

I like to use Astro-seek for a number of different calculators, including their solar return calculator. I use Planet Watcher as well but that tends to be better for looking at current transits and the like.

Astro-seek's was useful as it gave me the specific time that the Sun will return to the exact degree, minute and second that my natal Sun is at. This time will be a bit different each year given the nature of the Earth's orbit around the Sun. Therefore you could find it via Planet Watcher by adjusting the time until it looks right, but they don't include seconds in their chart so it becomes a bit more difficult. Astro-seek doesn't include seconds either, but Astrodienst does, so I plugged in my Solar Return chart's information into their natal chart calculator and sure enough, that time is when my SR Sun returns to the exact ass degree, minute and second my natal Sun is at. This was especially important to me for this year as my SR Ascendant for 2020 is on a critical degree.

You already know about Astrodienst/astro.com, but you may find Astro-seek's useful as well for comparing your SR against your natal chart.
