Standing at the foot of my bed
A figure like a shadow but not a shadow
It looks like me and I am seeing double
Like a mirror facing a mirror to create infinity
It walks to the door and shows me outside
Not my door but a friends door, a neighbors door, a strangers door
My feet are light and heavy
Touching the floor but not
I am by the door but I am in bed
In two places at once yet remaining as one
My mind and light is there
My body paralyzed
Seeking higher, I want to fly
Where my body can't reach and the second can
Finding the hidden things whispered through the stars
Then return where I already lay and awaken
A figure like a shadow but not a shadow
It looks like me and I am seeing double
Like a mirror facing a mirror to create infinity
It walks to the door and shows me outside
Not my door but a friends door, a neighbors door, a strangers door
My feet are light and heavy
