Can I use this breathing exercise for the heart chakra?

[Brahmari] or Yogic humming breath is an explanation on how to speak mantras. The syllables of the mantras are spoken on the exhale as with the humming breath.
Advanced members please correct me if I'm wrong, but that's the way I've understood the humming breath.
