I'm coming back at y'all with this great yoga set for people with lower back pain :D
As i'm studying to go into a medical profession (athletic trainer) i'm learning more and more about how Yoga relates to the body and how you can use different poses to literally heal anything in the body. I'm going to be coming out with more of this type of thing so if you have a specific topic you want me to make a yoga set for (example hip flexibility, shoulder pain ect ect) feel free to ask :)These yoga poses for back pain provide traction for your spinal muscles as you root through the hips and let the pull or gravity make space between the spinal bones, it stretches superficial and deep muscles of the back.
Hatha yoga for back pain: #1 Foreword bendhttp://www.yogajournal.com/pose/big-toe-pose/
#2 Downward facing Dog http://www.yogajournal.com/pose/downward-facing-dog/ #3 Cobra http://www.yogajournal.com/pose/cobra-pose/
#4 Bridge Pose  http://www.yogajournal.com/pose/bridge-pose/ #5 Twist http://www.yogajournal.com/pose/half-lo ... shes-pose/
Kundalini Yoga for back pain: Pick your poison on this one, i prefer the third kriya but its up to you. First Kriya:http://www.pinklotus.org/-%20KY%20Kriya ... rasana.htm
Second Kriya: http://www.pinklotus.org/-%20KY%20Kriya ... et%201.htm
Third Kriya: http://www.pinklotus.org/-%20KY%20Kriya ... rength.htm

You can end with an affirmation like ''The muscles and bones in my back and spine are now totally and completely healthy, flexible and strong in every way '' or something like that. Even something simple like ''My back pain is healed'' can work just fine. Ardha-Matsyendrasana (twist) is the most important pose so really spend a lot of time on it.

Thanks a ton Yog! I have a request, could you do some sets for knee pain? If their are any. HAIL SATAN!!!

Thanks Yog!! I've struggled with lower back pain for several years (which sucks because I'm only 19) so I will try these! :)

Hail Satan!!

Now knee pain is a hard one because that has more to do with the ligaments then it does muscles.  Off the top of my head i know that any extension of the knee joint will definitely help. If you have a swimming pool near you, you could work on just extending the knee up and down using the water as resistance. Also a deep squat focusing on the bending knees could be beneficial.  Here are some poses that might help: Half Frog Pose: http://www.yogajournal.com/pose/half-frog-pose/
Heron Pose: http://www.yogajournal.com/pose/heron-pose/
King Pigeon Pose (i know funny name XD) http://www.yogajournal.com/pose/one-leg ... geon-pose/
Reclining Angle Pose: http://www.yogajournal.com/pose/reclini ... ngle-pose/

This is just off the top of my head, i will definitely look into a more in depth set of poses for ya Sam :)
