Yahoo becoming harder to use

As you know, Yahoo is trying to make everything as difficult as possible for the ToZ groups. It is very difficult to find specific messages or topics that were covered recently. It is not user friendly anymore and hard to customize.

There have been some suggestions lately, such as hosting our own groups directly on the TEMPLE OF ZEUS website and moving everything to a dedicated server. Google has a group format, but sometimes Requires users to provide a cell phone number to verify everyone's identity (a bad idea IMO), as if Everyone has a cell phone. It is user friendly however, or so they say. 
If anyone has a suggestion on what we could use instead of Yahoo, please reply to this post. Technically savvy Zevism please provide input on this matter.

I do agree with you that it is really hard to use it and keep track of topics that you want and it would be a good to have something similar to a forum. For example, http://www.createaforum.com/, http://www.proboards.com/create-free-forum etc. There are an awful lot of services like that.

 The only advise I have, is if the TEMPLE OF ZEUS website itself has a forum of its own. But I don't know if the ministries choose & pay from predetermined layouts, or if they actually code. It is a struggle to write and send a message without this new layout messing up.

I do not know how the site is managed in its current form. Years ago a former HP who knew the code, wrote it for the ToZ and helped design the layout. A forum is a good idea. Thank you for your input.

Google is shit, they are an information and data collector, nothing more. Save your searches, save your personal info from your computer, require a lot of personal info simply to sign up, the list goes on. I had to make a Google account for college a few years ago and everything about it got to me, they wanted every detail about me just so I could access a class document. So it is definatly not the way to go.
The Yahoo! Groups have worked, and continue to work. People will just have to toughen up and get used to the new layout. Yes, it is difficult and not user friendly at all, this is a direct attack from the enemy against the ToZ groups, because they know the damage these groups do each day. If we were to move, they would be winning.

Google is owned and operated by the government, I don't trust them. Although, truth be told, Yahoo, Skype, Facebook, Twitter, Tumbler are all the same machine- just like Google, only less invasive so you don't notice it because they are passive systems.

I just wanted to know what everyone thought of the idea. This is good. Thank you for your input.

If the TEMPLE OF ZEUS ministries developed a forum, they could advertise the link on group messages, and group starting pages; 'WE HAVE MOVED TO THE TEMPLE OF ZEUS FORUMS' with a link. If an out-of-touch individual visits the groups and sees they are a  ghost town, they will look and know where to go. A forum would allow the ministries to fully create their vision, without the restrictions of Yahoo. I am certain they would mold it to be user friendly, and they would be in complete control: unless the yehuborim shut off the internet.
