Why don't the gods of mixed breed do biogenesis?

I think some people like to talk about the omnipotence of biogenesis, but they don't realize that it's impossible to make a soup with only half the ingredients, or whatever you do, a cat can't become a dog even with bioengineering. Then why is there a misconception that we can use biogenesis to restore our genes? I think the answer is that I am worried about it, so they are reassured by such a wrong answer.
