Hi. I posted about 2 months ago regarding my dad. He was experiencing nearly every eye issue there is. Well, I was a bit overly dramatic (I actually deleted my post out of embarrassment) and didn't get to the point with specific questions on how to help him. So I'm back with a few.
All I want to know is what supplements I should encourage him to take.
Just the gist of it: he has growths behind each eye. The doctor has said it is not currently cancer but shows all the signs of becoming cancer. All they're doing is monitoring it and checking him every few months. Obviously, I don't want it to turn into cancer. I don't want it to grow anymore. Ideally, I'd love for it to be gone yes. But i will take at least the minimum of it not progressing.
He has a month or two before he goes back to the doctors. I want the news to be good, so they don't mess with him, meaning give radiation or remove an eye!
So the question is, what can I give him until then? I ask opinions here because I know you all are wise and I trust you.
He is open to taking most things, but not everything. Hydrogen peroxide is pretty much "out" at this point. So other things. I've since bought him a quality whole food multi vitamin and some super green powder just to somewhat maintain general health, but I know bigger, more targeted things are needed to ward off or even heal his eyes.
So last time we discussed cannabis oil and how that was not worth it and I agree. What about wheat grass? Isn't that a good anti cancer one?
For the rest of the eye problems (dry type macular degeneration, chronic dry eye probably from that, cataracts, glaucoma) perhaps chrysanthemum or eyebright?
To get an idea of what's generally going on in his body to better help him from a tcm point of view: in his 60s, thin to normal/average weight except slight excess around the midsection, appetite is scant- eats one to two meals per day. Diet is pretty simple. Heavy in meats and potatoes, canned soups, as well as snacks. That's pretty much it. Typical day is one evening meal of roasted meat with potato, the rest of the day is snacking mostly on potato chips and peanuts. Loves chocolate but only has it a few times a week either in ice cream form or a candy bar. Occasionally makes canned soup or Mac and cheese for lunch. Drinks coffee heavily all day and all evening. Smokes heavily. Does not drink. Usually naps daily and goes to bed from 1030-6am. Other medical history encouraging blood pressure, lyme disease, chronic depression, and a mini stroke 10 years ago.
Astrologically it may be a bad time for him too. I don't know how these things work, but the sign his natal saturn is in, Saturn is back in. Sagittarius. Sun is Aries. Thank you for reading.
