So,i am talking here about the ravana who worshipped lord shiva and he is regarded as the most favourite worshipper/devotee/student or whatever of Lord shiva. He was one of the most favourite of Lord Shiva. Its a real character of hindu epic "ramayana". Since hindu gods are our Original Gods/Demon/ss so this question related to hinduism seems legit to me to ask in this group. I see there is so so much corruption in hinduism.  So,is this entire ramayana epic a real epic that actually happened in real or what? And so was that ravana a real entity too who was considered as an evil being and Ram who is a positive being in ramayana is considered an avatar of Lord Shiva?   urghhh  so much confused i am.

Its allegory.

Aha..should have guessed that its allegory and should have researched little more. There is also one more hindu epic called "Mahabharata" and whilst searching about it i found an answer on wiki.com:
"Ramayan is how to seperate Soul from body before death and Mahabharat is how wash all Karma and become Free of all Karma (god). Both are necessary to achieve Godhood".
Wow !   So both epics are allegories.

They have been majorly rewrote by the enemy.

Hmmm yeah it must be rewritten by enemy, and I've been researching on these both epics for a while and came on a conclusion that it is really an allegory.Feeling a bliss and sense of peace in mind after knowing the truth and ofcourse Jaw was dropped down on the floor 8[]:D after knowing that and happy too.
Anyways, Thank you.
