I seem to have the hardest time visualizing.  But the wierd thing is i
shouldn't...I am a huge fan of daydreaming and will take anychance to just lose
myself in my daydreams but when it comes to something as simple is imagining a
cricle with a dot(sun) and holding it for 5 minutes then it's nearly
impossible.  I don't understand why...
When i day dream my dreams are like quick flics of vague pictures just so i get
the jist of what i'm imagining myself doing.  They were never detailed and they
seemed to be really really distant (like in the back of my mind).
When i visualize with my eyes closed i feel like i'm just staring into a murky
darkness and trying to force my mind to produce something that never comes.  It
hard to explain but it feels different from when i day dream.

Does anyone have any amazing breakthrough techniques to this?  I'm desperate as
i know i cannot proceed in my spiritual growth without getting this down b/c
visualization is key to every meditation is seems.

Well I used to be a bad daydreamer. I started to write things down that I
was daydreaming about. It turned out to be things my mind was trying to
tell. Once out of my mind and on paper, my mind was free to think of other
things. Don't know if it will help with you, but it is worth a try.

HAIL SATAN!!!!!!
I have gone through the same problem (years ago)....and believe me just imagining and visualizing an object won't help...so just draw it on a paper and concentrate on it...and try to retain its image ....and gradually you'll get an adept in it.
