venus square question

I started the Venus square today. I used the shortcut version of the mantra. Somehow I overlooked svaha and just said aum shukraya. I looked up svaha and it means "well said," which makes me question its significance and I'm debating going on with the square omitting it just for consistency. But then.. One would think that on this path, by now I would have learned to not underestimate things...
If it is already ruined, I might as well just stop and not waste my time. I'm very indecisive on what to do right now.
