This may at first seem a little out of place, but consider the God's provide us with Wonderful Familiars.

Spells was a very special little guy,
with energy for everyone, and cuddles just them same.
He lived a very short life,
but long will be our pain.
He left a lasting memory,
for we will never forget, an irreplaceable companion,
far more than just a pet.
