you can take cash to the store and get a temporary credit card with you money on it for credit card payments. Its a very practical and useful tool for many.

try a drug store / pharmacy, that's where I find them. Although I'll
warn you, they charge a 5 or 10 dollar activation fee on it. I have
seen them in Kmart, but not Walmart.
