Throat problem :(

Hello. In general, I am rather sensitive to throat problems (with the tonsils and such). I don't get sick in general, but whenever I do, 9/10 it would be because of a throat problem.
<b [/IMG]Right now, my tonsils are not swollen, but I have difficulty swallowing.[/B]I drink tea all day with honey; at some point I also put lemon in it.I tried doing gargle with saltwater, and I almost puked LOL (I'm bad at this)
I had been having a sensitivity in my throat since Saturday (I had gone somewhere, people were coughing etc) and on Sunday night I could hardly swallow and I was shivering; wore three shirts and got under the covers to sleep.Next day I was feeling like shit; towards the night I realized I had a fever, and I took this pill that is to calm the fever, and the fever was gone.
Now it's Tuesday night, and although I don't have a fever, I still have difficulty swallowing, despite drinking tea all day.

For once, I thought I should try to fix this with a herbal remedy, instead of pills. I also drank sage (today and yesterday) but the problem persists.

What is your opinion on this?
Do you believe I should head to a doctor and get a medicine, or should I continue trying with tea, sage and... what else? Since this problem seems to be directed only at my throat (except for the first day that I had a fever) I thought I should try to see if I can fix it without medical help (well, if the problem persists or gets worse, it's a given that I will go to a doctor).

Finally, what would be a way to foreveeeer get rid of the fucking throat problems? They're insufferable, I swear. (well, all health problems are)I get sensitivity if I drink cold stuff (not always, but some times I do).

A fever is meant to help your body dispell diseases and isnt to be suppressed.

I can understand that people are so fucked up that they would fire you from your job if you didnt show up because you were sick and that you would thus take something to make it bearable.

Antibiotics kill off any bacteria in your body, also in your gut. Good or bad it doesnt matter. As they maintain a certain balance they are also beneficial to your immune system which prevents you from getting ill.
If you take anti biotics constantly not only will you have diarrhea, you are recreating the problem over and over.

For the flu over here, they tell you to drink tea with Tilia cordata (flos), Sambucus nigra (flos) and Matricaria chamomilla in even amounts.
Or, Tilia cordata (flos), Sambucus nigra (flos), Crataegus monogyna (this is on the flower, a subspecies, its also known as Maythorn. In one book I have its called Crataegus oxyacantha) (flos), Matricaria chamomillla, Mentha x Piperita (Peppermint). In equal amounts.

As to awaken a fever, there are several techniques and I dont have the time to post it right now. Maybe a bit more tomorrow.
Keep your feet warm. And if you get a fever again just dont let it be above 40 C.

By the way the tea combination mentioned earlier is to make you sweat.

In a first aid list of herbs there is mentioned:
Throat inflammation:
Malva sylvestris tincture, gargle with salvia (sage), tea: Brambleberry, Sage, chamomile, agrimonia eupatoria. Cold water wrap, calendula officinalis tincture. The cold water is supposed to stop the bacteria growth which would increase with added heat (written added note that though).

Throat ache with swollen tensils: Sage tincture, brambleberry tincture, agrimonia eupatoria tincture. Flush with sage or chamomile. Calendula off. Tincture.

To me sounds like u got a bug from where u was.
I know I had it and the dry air didn't help either.
So long as it don't get out of had wait it out. Sense that's prob what it is.
Try rose hip tea and honey, of course don't mix in cup, sense I been told it deluds the honey the good stuff. This what I did and chicken soup may help. These are what I did my self.
Stay warm and good luck.
Other wise prob doing a working on ur throat chakra may help some.
Taol that's alot of info, new stuff for me :)Thanks

Thank you both for the responses. :)

@Taol, I know about the fever; it was 38,9 when I took the pill. Next time I'll wait a bit longer.
I wrote down the herbs you mentioned, I can found them here I think (some of them surely).

At some point you mentioned: "Cold water wrap" and said that "The cold water is supposed to stop the bacteria growth which would increase with added heat (written added note that though)"; what you say makes lots of sense but it was drinking something cold that instigated the problem to begin with... should I take the risk and drink something cold again? (or, do you mean gargle with cold water?)

@Seeker SS yes, I do believe I probably got some kind of bug, from some little fucker out there lol... walking around with bugs and viruses.. :p
What is rose hip tea? :O
Tea with.... roses? I swear I've never heard something like that before.

I've been doing a working for my throat chakra specifically for a month now, so I hope it may also help in the healing. ;P (I did start another spiritual working for that purpose though)

The wrap.. Basivly its a towel that you make wet with cold water and wrap it around your throat. Thats for a throat inflammation though and I dont think that it is that serious that it needs to be done right now.

Feel what is best for your body and follow that. If cold water is not okay then dont use it.

Rose hip is the fruit of the rose.
Never know can always be a big fucker out there lol ( sounds like sex speaking, however it's not :). )
That's good ur working on ur throat. So u may be okay then. Just like everything time it takes.
Prob a working as Lydia and HP Maxine said about aura protecting against virus and such.
I know alot around here has been getting some kind of sickness as u got. For I know I got it. Damn stores lol.
Anyways good luck

Try adding fresh ginger to your tea... Lemon is astringent and thus holds pathogens inside but is also useful for helping to prevent fluid loss in am infection..

Ginger fights the infection directly.

Mint is also a great antiseptic with throat calming properties but will make you sweat therefore making the lemon useful in the combination.

Try Liquorice powder or what's called in Hindi as Mulethi and marathi as jeshthimadh. Mixing it with honey and slowly having can help. Some ayurvedic cough syrups can also help.

Update on my throat. :p (not a question anymore; just the conclusion)

The problem continued, so I had to go to the doctor, to see what was the problem. She told me I had acute pharyngeal gialitis... not sure if the english translation is correct. Basically, my pharynx and tonsils had the problem.

She told me to avoid lemon, as it makes it even more "harsh".
She gave me antibiotic pills and a mouthwash solute (that I had to do gargles).

When I first learned about the exact problem I had, I started doing healing working at that part of my body; vibrating Malaphar (God of medicine etc; I know this works wonders) and also using affirmations after yoga, RAUM and so forth.

After 3 days the problem wasn't that bad but it was still pretty bad. I also felt that my mouth smelled really bad (because of the virus; it didn't smell before though) and one-two times I'd cough like craaaazy.

I realized that the healing needed more time, and I did believe I WOULD be able to deal with it eventually.
But, because I live with my parents, and if they realized I didn't take the medications, I'd be in deep problem, I started taking the pills anyway, and doing the gargles.

Now I am on my 6th day. The problem went away significantly quickly, when I started taking the pill. It is for 10 days.

Ah well.
I assume no amount of everyday herbs would be able to deal with this... but healing did help.

You have a weak throat chakra....so to strengthen it do a mercury square.

lets not talk about this here please, we are not as a whole sure whether or not the info on mercury and venus corresponding to the throat and heart respectively are correct.

the real question is "have you been doing at least 10 mins of satanama each day?"

because if not then then you should probably be doing healing meditations to stop you from getting sick all the time.

if you get sick in your throat then meditation is out the window. yoga is is impossible if you cannot breathe properly.

so i would fix this with spiritual means as soon as you can

You assume no amount of herbs could deal with this...

You assume incorrectly.

I have resolved many many ailments with herbal medicine including conditions which western medical drugs could not touch or that doctors were at a loss to diagnose and treat.

Lemon on its own should be avoided in all infections as stated except when used in conjunction with sweating therapy as described.

It is however good that you have resolved this issue.

If you find it to be a recurring problem, let us know so we might be of more assistance.

From the western point of view acute situations can be battled with herbs by taking a dose every single hour till the problem lessens. Isnt that bad anymore.
This isnt mentioned for the flu though.

Perhaps you should take probiotics for a while after you stopped the anti biotics to keep your body more in balance. Or restore its balance..

Herbs can be poisonous. Some definetely should not be taken once an hour.
The dosis does matter as to toxity of something.
