The Yule Cat - Icelandic Folklore

AvatarHierothronos1 min to read

Here clothes are an allegory for the aura of the soul.

Getting new clothes = transformation.

Clean clothes = purified aura.

Working wool for clothes = working on the soul

Preparation for winter = preparation for Nigredo (symbolized by winter)

This gift comes from Lord Zeus/Wodanaz/Odin, through working with Him.

Odysee 1, 32-34:

"Ah, how shamelessly mortals blame the Gods!
For they say evils come from us,
whereas they themselves, through their own folly, suffer beyond what is ordained".

It's so interesting that many of these cultural myths have an emphasis on consequences for inaction 💭

Furthermore, in Icelandic folklore, the black Yule cat represents Nigredo and the desire to embark on a spiritual path. Black is the color of Nigredo and transformation, and winter is the harsh season of the water element.

The black Yule cat symbolizes the freedom of the feminine side of the soul and the desire to reveal the occult forces of spirituality.

It is somewhat like the feline counterpart of the wolf Fenrir, except that the cat represents punishment for spiritual inactivity and failure to work on one's soul, while Fenrir represents the release of certain energies within the soul and the transformation that occurs at the onset of Ragnarok

Rickety wood from the mediterranean? Is Salman Rushdie jewish? That is all I really care to know. I will donate him some Ragnarok transformer toys and then have Frank Shamrock come over to his house and sit on his head. Is that Yule enough?

This isn't exactly The Corrs Leave me Breathless. I mean Scott Adams the creator of Dilbert died. He checked out. And he seemed to have an idea (a fledgling of one at least) of what is about to come down. I have yet to see a Satanist who has that same concept.
So yeah, I don't really get that. Wool from a cat? Like you kill it to get its wool? Wouldn't it be better to have the strength of like a Kodiak bear. Like the Native americans believe? Actually I get some of this and a lot of this

What was the animal associated with Robin hood? I am a big fan of the legend and myth of Robin Hood. And usually myths of great heroes are associated with an animal. But I have not heard of one for Robin Hood. Why is that. Is it because animals are dumb? Daedalus I think is the name of the guy who made Icarus his wings. But unfortunately he did not give him the instincts or awareness of a cat or even the nine lives of a cat. Unless that one that melted his wings was his ninth. A lot of things that the history books don't tell ya. This feels like kind of a Larry David contrived thread though. And I pretty much equate Larry David and his mutant following with the enemy. Ruinous giveaways. So I am supposed to make wool clothes out of a skinned black cat? That is the part that kind of baffles me. There are people who play that game Pokemon and they literally believe that those animals called Vulpix are real animals that are created by the New World Order in a laboratory. Like Dulce. That is why we all live in this hazy world where we are supposed to care like if Ellen Degeneres house burned down. I mean I don't care. William Marriot liked to exhibit ghost forms and go around and tell people that he was something great.
