1. The true meaning of Δαίμων (Daimon)
In the original Ancient Greek tradition, a Daimon was never a "malicious demon", like in the modern Christian sense. To philosophers like Socrates and Plato, a Daimon represented the Inner Divine Spark, the Higher Self, the Genius, and the guiding spiritual force that connects a mortal soul to the Gods.
