The Demon Called Verrel?

I'm writing this because, when I was younger I used to hear these stories about a Demon named Verrel, and I always wanted to know if it was true. I only know a little bit about him, he was cursed by a witch named Atalia, she cursed him to live among the humans, without his powers, and rumor has it he roams here trying to find his way back to hell with Father Satan. I'm guessing all this happened right around the time Father Satan was being locked away. I want to know if there is any truth to it and can anyone at more to the story, cause I only remember what I've told? i'm very fascinated by this, I wouldn't mind going on a search/journey to find him if he still lives.

A witch, a human, is not strong enough to strip a Demon of power. Also, Demons are 7-10 feet tall and would not blend in very well among humans. The story may be a spiritual allegory and have spiritual information within it.
