Some reading of JoS will help. It's been said Satan is Sanskrit in origin and Set is a son of Satan/Enki/Ptah. They are different beings.

How can you possibly say that Satan is a Jewish name? The name Satan originated from Sanskrit. Satan in sanskrit means truth, enlightened one, shining one etc. There are many Sanskrit abbreviations inside "Satan." Now for the jewish, Satan means adversary/enemy in their language, Hebrew. Read up on the JoS and you'll see what I'm talking about.
