Sumerin gods

I have been reading obout sumerian mitology. In there Father has a brother(Enlil)and a dad(Anu), and if compare to greek mitology it is the same: Poseidon, Zeus and Kronos.

Are tehy real? if so, who are they? what is their role?

Enlil is Baal Zebul.
Anu is their father and of the enemy. He is the one who wanted us destroyed after Enki created us.
