Still unable to bring about a change in another's mind

I posted a few weeks ago about being unable to "convinced"(magickally) my dad to let me play games again. I do play when he's not home, but as expected, my friends only play when I cannot. Someone responded and told me to bring up the desire whilst affirming the energy. I did that.

Still nothing. He's not said anything. His mind has changed some, however, he has not yet told me I can play games. I continue to advance myself and continue to perform the magick. I do not doubt the workings or myself. I tell the energy "My dad is telling me to play games", or something along the lines. I raise my desire from the heart chakra to my crown chakra, alongside this energy(purple with gold specks, should be strong mental energy)...nothing so far. I started this change immediately once I got the message..so it's been going on for a few weeks now.
Any other advice, or possibilities that might be interrupting it? Any better affirmations? I am grounded due to something outside my control. And yes I do live with my parents; it's impossible for me to afford my own place. No job, etc, etc..but not a sob story. I just require some advice from the skilled.

I'm just going to throw this out there. Perhaps instead of spending all that time using magick to convince him to let you play games, you could put that time and energy into getting a job and moving out, and then you can do whatever you want, whenever you want. I am a firm believer in living on one's own, while one is still young and single.

its important right now to concentrate on important things like making your life better. Playing video games the whole day won't help. In any case you can invest that time on power meditation which will greatly benefit you than playing games. Its not impossible for you to get a your own place. Get a job and move out,all you need will come much easier. HAIL SATAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very few people are hiring in my drivable area, most wanting prior experience. No one wants those without retail experience, and I'm still working towards my Associates of Science. I'm doing what I can, and yes I do want a job to move out. However, in my area(and with my medical condition), minimum wage won't suffice to live on my own. Maybe in 5-10 years or so, possibly.

I know here in Australia, you can apply for government housing. It's not exactly the most desirable option, but it's dirt cheap. And if you want, you don't have to live in community housing. They give you your own detached house to live in if you want. Do they have something like that where you are? Maybe that would be something to consider.
