I have a necklace that is old and silver and it is point up pentacle. Is it okay for me to wear it? Even though its not inverted. Pentacles represent earth and humans right? Should i throw it away...? shoul it be inverted instead?

This is cool. Several years ago, when I was an undecided Pagan [meaning not-Wiccan-anymore], I needed a symbol of protection for my arm and I chose a star. Back then, I was only familiar with the point-up stars, though. After coming home to the original faith of my blood, Satanism, I dedicated the star with the Ouroboros serpent wrapped around it to our beloved Astaroth. Her name means 'a red star.' I remember while growing up, there was often a red star following me, and at nighttime, I could see it in the shadows. This is a symbol of Astaroth.

Years ago, when I was new to Satanism, a woman who is a Satanist told me that the point-up stars are good for keeping things away. I know that a point-down star could be programed for the same purpose, but it would be kind of like the necessary use of opposites during the different phases of the moon. For example, increasing or bringing things to you during a waxing moon, and decreasing things or getting rid of things during a waning moon. A point-up or point-down star could be programmed for the same as the other, but it would just rely on the intent and purpose that the Mage has for it. I found that to be interesting. I was slow to catch on, but I eventually got it.

The enemy has really done a number on everything that was originally ours. As you said, and from my own research, the cross was ours, too, meaning that it was once a symbol of Satan and our Solar Gods. I once wasted an hour watching a show called "ancient aliens" in it they did mentioned the battle where Constantine claimed to see the symbol of all Paganism in a vision and become an xian....
