Spinal Injury

I've recently sustained a pretty bad injury to two separate places in my spine, one being in the lumbar and the other in the tailbone. It happened while I was riding a horse, he tripped while cantering and I fell off, into the arena wall. I've had many injuries due to horse back riding before, but this one is by far the most painful.Anyways, since I've been put on bed rest and told not to move around unless I have to (I was told it may end up taking up to six weeks to fully heal— there goes the rest of my summer), I decided to look up information on Satanic Healing. I've never done it before, and my main question is, how should I work the meditation to target the two areas on my spine that are injured (coccyx and left side of 3rd and 4th lumbar vertebrae)? Should I focus on one, then the other, or target both areas at the same time? Which would work out to my greater benefit? Also, is there anything else that I can do in addition to this, to speed up the healing process? Are there any healing meditations specifically for injury that I may have overlooked?I'm also going to add that both sitting and laying down are extremely painful, despite the pain medications I've been given to take. And ever since the injury, I've also been having a hard time doing the simplest meditations, like cleaning my aura and chakras.I'm just extremely thankful to Father Satan that my spinal cord wasn't damaged, and that my unrisen kundalini didn't rise due to the impact on my tailbone.Thank you to anyone who replies.-Sarah

Greetings, fellow equestrian!

I, too, have "horse-inflicted" spinal injuries. My most serious injury occurred at age 12 and a few others, less serious, followed. There were also a couple of car accidents which didn't help, the most recent about 3 years ago was particularly nasty ...

Anyway, I do pretty much the same things you do regarding Satanic healing. Progress is slow because the problem is so long-standing, but I do note improvement. Since my injuries are also in more than one location, I focus on one then the other, then circulate healing energy throughout my spine. Experimentation is key; what works well for one may require a slightly different approach by another for maximum impact.

And, yes, the pain can affect one's ability to meditate ... I will take pain killers if I must (I prefer to take a natural approach to everything concerning my health & well-being but sometimes the allopathic model is exactly what's called for & when that is so, I do it; sometimes they help but, like you, there are other times when they seem to do nothing.) When you're having a particularly bad day, you may want to shorten your meditations to just the basics; i.e., aura/chakra cleanse and protection, if that's all you manage. In my experience, I've decided to go with that on a particularly bad day(s) but found once I got into it I could continue meditating as usual. Do not beat yourself up about this; do what you can as you can and put the main focus on healing at present.

Another thing I do which has nothing to do with Satanic healing but is very powerful is reflexology. I work my feet regularly, usually each day. You can also work your hands. There are several excellent books available which make it easy to learn and apply if you don't already know. What this does is stimulate your body's own healing mechanisms to kick in. And it's very relaxing. It's certainly helping me & I can't recommend it highly enough. It can take a few days, even up to a week and a half or so, to start noticing results; the thing is to NOT stop just because you feel less pain. You make it part of your routine; takes only about 20 minutes a day ...

I'm new to Yoga, and obviously those of us with injuries have to be very careful -- best if you can find an instructor who has some verifiable experience working with people who have sustained spinal injuries -- I am not in a position to acquire the services of such a person where I am located, so I am going it alone with my books/DVD's, but always erring on the side of caution.

If anyone else is in this or a similar situation, I hope they will chime in here as well with both meditation and therapeutic suggestions ...
