spells on a full moon ?

just wondering if a full moon changes the effects of a spell working.i heard waning moons are best for spells but im a bit confused.this is guna sound stupid but is a waning crescent/gibbous the same thing as a waning moon? HAIL SATAN!

a waning moon is a waning moon -cresent or not.
