How is it that some people, such as Nikola Tesla, can sleep for only a few hours each night with out any negative effects? Do we even really need 8 hours of sleep? Seems like a waste of time to me. I wish to reduce the number of hours I sleep without any negative impact.

Well what I gathered is what makes you feel more well rested is not how many hours of sleep you get but how long of "deep sleep" you get. It can take awhile before your mind goes into deep sleep. There was a lot more to it but I forgot lol it has been awhile. I'm no expert on this though so don't take my word for it I just read about online. You could try looking it up online and find more information. There was also this guy that claimed he only needed 5 hours of sleep and felt well rested and he did it by slowly decreasing how much sleep he got like every 2 weeks (I think) until his body adapted to having less sleep.

I've thought of the same type of thing. Switching to the uberman sleep cycle but I find it hard to be consistent in my efforts to switch. Z
