Shape of chakras

From what I understand, they are shape of pyramids, but also can be visualized as balls, so please tell me if I'm right, when I do chakra breathing, I visualize a strong ray of light pulsing in my chakra, which I visualize as a ball, but after I'm done, I visualize it as a pyramid to align it, is this the correct way to do it? I'd greatly appreciate any answers, thank you all and have a blessed day.
