serpent / tongue?

I know in deep meditation you sometimes can see a serpent, but once when I meditated in a paddock I saw in my maind a face, It opened its mouth and its tongue slithered out toward me like a snake, is it the same thing?

not at the time, but after the whole meditation it felt so good I could barely stand.
