I've been doing a lot of research into yoga and hinduism since Maxine proposed that India is the true origin of civilization. Some of the evidence I've found of this is references to astrological events and the Saraswati river which existed over 8000 years ago (in a natural disaster the Saraswati River became buried under the desert around 10000 years ago). In the puranas they talk about a great deluge and Vishnu's matsya (fish) form which saved humanity. This seems oddly similar to the story of the deluge with Utnapishtim and Enki in the epic of Gilgamesh. One final point I think is rather strange is the devastras or divine weapons. In the Mahabharata, Arjuna uses the bhramastra, the most destructive weapon ever created. In the epic it says...
it was a single projectile
Charged with all the power of the Universe.
An incandescent column of smoke and flame
As bright as the thousand suns
Rose in all its splendor
it was an unknown weapon,
An iron thunderbolt,
A gigantic messenger of death,
Which reduced to ashes
The entire race of the
Vrishnis and the Andhakas.
..The corpses were so burned
As to be unrecognizable.
The hair and nails fell out;
Pottery broke without apparent cause,
And the birds turned white
After a few hours
All foodstuffs were infected
to escape from this fire
The soldiers threw themselves in streams
To wash themselves and their equipment.."
To me this sounds almost exactly like a nuclear weapon. Obviously humans didn't possess that kind of weaponry at that age in time so does this point to the nephilim being present in ancient India?
