FOR THOSE STRUGGLING WITH CONSISTENCY
and are dependent on motivation in order to achieve something within their personal lives; Whether it's a serious discipline or not.
Discipline doesn't have look the same everyday. In nature, there's no species that wakes up only to repeat yesterday's rhythm. There has to be a change of pace to avoid any mental rejection of that daily routine you are currently implementing.
Movement is compulsory, but going full throttle or 100% everyday is not compulsory. Someday's you'll have low energy to do anything, that's when you'll have to "maintain" ,by doing half of what you normally do on your best days and not "rest" by stopping and doing nothing on that day.
That's how you train your brain to accept that routine as normal and safe, because if it's not safe to your brain than it's a threat to it, there's no in between on this matter.
Solution:
High energy day's = Full throttle
Low energy day's = maintanance
Rather:
Do 10mins of meditation if 30mins or more feels like "hard work".
Read 5 pages a day if 15 pages feels like your head might explode soon.
Learn 3 words of that foreign language if 6 words feels alien.
Eat some healthy snacks if you've eaten junk food already, that way you are signaling to your brain that there's still "hope left
"
No matter what, DO NOT STOP !
Unless if you are planning on quitting, then go ahead you mediocre madafaka.
For all the non-mediocre charming kings and queens in this charming Toz
(Hail The Gods !)
The catch is this... (Don't worry it's a positive one) :
-Once you begin that daily task on your low energy day, you'll want to push past your low energy day's goal because you'd be in the flow state minutes after you begin —if no external thing eventually interrupts your flow though.... but even if you get interrupted, you'll have accumulated some WILL to continue no matter what gets in your way.
So do not rest by stopping, rest by MAINTAINING.
Stopping will feel criminal which is a good sign that you were making progress even on your low energy day's, but that doesn't mean you should stop in order to get a taste of that motivational feeling.
It's you vs your brain, everyday !
You have to be a trickster to win over it.
Confidence and progress is what you'll gain, but you'll lose your mediocre old self though, which is a GOOD THING. Running laps around that "MEDIOCRE MADAFAKA" who quit before they even began is FUN, trust me.
WHILE YOU GAIN, THEY LOSE.
