Hello Sam,I fancied joining your group to find out more about Satan.
However, right away my email was bombarded by about 100 emails. So I immediately unsubscribed. I didn't want anything more than perhaps a monthly digest with links, events, whatever.
Furthermore I do not want my email address handed out to anyone else but the admin of the group.
If these are default settings for people joining - that they get inundated by email - I would suggest changing to what I just said I want.I'm sure 99.9999999% of people will feel the same.Marty

No actually most people like the group. You can read other people messages and and reply to them. The admins cant answer all your questions for you. Also there is a setting for what you mentioned when you subscribe. Joy of Satan   Exposing Christianity

When you get to the joining page before you join, or the group settings page after, you'll see there are some options for the emails you get. There are things like "no email", "individual email" e.t.c. Of course this is a large group and has hundreds of mails a week so you won't be good to use "individual email" obviously. There's no need to unsubscribe because of that. I should also say that it's not advised to use the real email address to join groups like that. Just create a new yahoo account just for the groups. In these groups, for safety reasons (mainly to prevent infiltrators and trolls from posting anonymously) your email address is visible to anyone and you can't do without that, really.

Your email is NOT given out to a lot of folks. You have joined one of the Joy of Satan groups/forums. Anytime one of us
writes, once it is approved by moderator, then it goes up on the forum. If you do not want to be part of the group, you
can always request to be dropped from the list, etc.
