Question regarding becoming an object/animal/person

I've been trying to merge with various objects over the past couple of weeks as part of the SWTP program. Problem is, it's very hit and miss. Sometimes I just about manage it, sometimes I don't. What's the answer? Deeper trance?
I'd appreciate any thoughts on the matter.
