Question on Runes

Is there other ways of useing runes. Or is there only the ways covered on the JOS website. look at the link below. Is this a good source on Runes.

Seems a very nice site, you can create paper talismans by drawing the rune symbol on paper and writing affirmations on the paper around it.
So if you want a protection amulet find a protection rune, for example Algiz. Draw the algiz rune symbol and write algiz under it, then write affirmations of protection around the paper and that negative energies are being bounced back off you and are going back to the source.
Keep the amulet on you when you want it. Also charge it with your energy by visualising some of your white-gold energy entering and encompassing your amulet.
