Hi.
So I know we are only supposed to use blood for the dedication ritual, but I think I did see HP Lydia mention that she used blood on runes for a race ritual, is there a practical use for using blood in certain types of rituals /magic.
And what about the Gods, I know the gods don’t want us to give any kind of blood or physical sacrifice , but could blood be used in some sort of ritual to help us connect closer to the gods? Maybe in a similar way the Hp mentioned using it for the race ritual as it pertains to her own race.
Maybe I’m misquoting I don’t mean to.
I’m not crazy or tryna do bloodletting all the time or anything silly like that. I just was curious, especially why it would be used with the runes, and what that could mean about other uses for it.
I know it’s a unnecessary and maybe niche area, but if anybody has any input or maybe links to threads that may expand on this idea I would appreciate it.

Blood can be used for empowering things, it contains your life force. So, it can be used when empowering runes or rituals or other forms of magick. But it always has to be your own blood, not someone else's. A blood sacrifice is killing another being and using its blood, much like they do in Santeria and other similar religions. Using the lifeforce of another being isn't accepted here because it's parasitical and can cause a working to backfire.
