Question #627: Does Mercury Rule the color Blue/Sky Blue?

AvatarAsk Zeus Operator1 min to read

In the astrology section it says that mercury rules slate blue and gray/silver and Venus rules green. Is it ok to use a Sky Blue color when working with mercury energies? Mercury/Venus can both be used on the throat chakra but I always thought mercury had way more of an influence on the throat chakra than Venus does and this is why I was wondering if it was ok to use the sky blue/throat chakra color when working with mercury instead of using silver or a slate blue/grayish blue. Is this fine?

No, Venus rules the throat chakra. The JoS site has an "old pages that haven't been updated" problem that makes the info seem contradictory. The pages that say Mercury rules it are older than 2012 (when it was found that Venus rules it) and haven't been updated, you can see the year at the bottom of them. In all the pages from 2012 or later, it says it's ruled by Venus. In the Past, it was believed that Mercury rules the throat chakra until in late 2012 HP Pythia got from Lilith that Venus and not Mercury rules it. Mercury rules the heart chakra. The relevant post is below:

HP Pythiasaid:

Each male and female chakra are planetary opposites, such as the male sun [666] chakra connects with the female moon [6th chakra], the male mars chakra which is the sacral chakra, connects with the throat chakra [which Lilth informed me recently is ruled by female Venus].

This is the targeted message.

From my personal experience Mercury's energy is light navy blue and Venus' energy is green, the planet that rules the silver color is the Moon.

The energies of Venus and Mercury can be used in both the heart chakra and the throat chakra because these two chakras are interconnected.

The color tone of each energy is very similar to this:

Mercury

Venus

Moon
