Houses 1, 7, 8 and 12 are empty.

House 12 has Fortune, house 8 has Vertex.

Spiritually, I seem to have a terrible chart.

What do you think?

It is not possible to calculate how much of a terrible chart just by the vague information you provided (please don't share more of it), there are a lot of things to consider in a chart. An empty house doesn't mean that these areas of your life are *empty*. It means that they have less emphasis on your life, in contrast to the ones who have planets in them. But they still have certain influences about them.

You can look at the planet that rules said house and see how they are placed in the chart for more information about these houses, where are they placed which sign, aspects, fixed stars, etc. The ruler of the house is the planet that rules the sign on the cusp of the house.

Neptune in the 3rd house doesn't mean that you can't practice spirituality, it only means that for you, these energies are more channeled into 3rd house affairs, which means that you'd have more than average psychic ability and imagination to write about Neptune affairs, like spirituality. For example. There's a positive and negative side to all things, it's up to you to do the work on your soul to manifest things in the healthiest way for you.

No. Not at all. Empty Houses just mean they're relatively regular and 'autopilot', depending on the cusp ruler planets themselves. Also the Part of Fortune in the 12th can indicate great benefits from spirituality.

Neptune in the 3rd House of the mind can be excellent, even amazing for occult work, but the negative side of Neptune has to be transformed via Munka/Uruz/Ansuz 40 day negative karma removal, cleansing of the Middle and Throat Chakra, working with Logur, etc.
