Question #5430: Will it harm the voice?

AvatarAsk Zeus Operator1 min to read

Hello.

My voice is contralto, with initial data from the note B of the great octave to the note A of the first (well, with difficulty to B). Now my range is a little wider (from the note B-flat of the great octave to the note E, with difficulty - F of the second octave), but when I listen to songs or choirs where high, "silver ringing" voices sing, I understand that I want to sing just as beautifully and at the same height. The question is - will it be harmful to the vocal cords if I expand the range upwards (and additionally - downwards)?
Thank you.

You can train your voice to be able to produce higher or lower notes, just make sure you are hydrated and not pushing it far. Additionally, watch tutorials on this, how to do it rightfully.
