Okay, I read it and it makes a lot of sense but it still appears as though it is spoken of as something literal in various ToZ articles? For example:

It's very simple, yes literally Pythia and about several HPs of the time did it. I kinda wonder about HP.Mac Friday if he was involved with it. Cool dude awesome voice.
It wasn't a massive thing or something the Gods can't do. But the Gods do work on their own time with things.
Pythia simply removed the bindings built up on the enemy who bound the Gods with their magick. Not bound in a personal sense that is for the hostile extra-terrestrial and their God thoughtform and hive nest. For example a few years ago pre-Coof someone pulsa de nura Barry Chamish a jew from BBC using various Gods of ours or their hive nest one being Glasya-Labolas i.e. the hive/thoughtform holding this Gods power in check by the enemy.
Pythia literally did it and yes the Gods could do it themselves but they expressed desire to influence the World again. From November 2002 to April 2003 it occurred this also increases the influence of the Gods. For example in 2004 one of the stones from the Roman Garrison i.e. Wailing Wall collapsed particularly after our 2003 Runic/Devil Key rituals against the vatican it seems the vatican wasn't the only place it was struck.
Right now too many people have this romantic view of the freeing of the Gods or an absurdity.
I think in my personal opinion Pythia simply broke off bindings and curses that check the Gods influence and she merely broke it. Maybe at one point moving Gentiles and yehuborim around the World the information was destroyed by war and conflict. And the enemy just did the same shit without knowing the bindings could be replaced by Gentiles damning their Gods.
In much akin to God rituals which we enforce like Thoth or Andras or Astarte or Satan we are in essence repowering the influence of our side against the enemy. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if HP.Cobra states as we power down the enemy in the next few years as he mentioned 2027-2029 being critical years for spiritual warfare before evolutionary/progressive magick comes even the ERAR and RIR/RKR might tip the scale and cause us to surrender spiritual warfare early as we tore the enemy too many holes and the power is bleeding out.
Sheer fact is I would not be surprised if HP.Cobra mentions the powering of our Gods and their properties like thoughtfroms, subordinates, guards, and other myriad of ET activity. As we power the enemy down and they start shining more and more as the veil is broken. Our Gods will just pop more of these fools.
It's no surprise the last 20 years has been kinda chaotic hell even by 2006 and 2007 the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were being cheesed and hated by people kinda like Ryan Dawson and whatnot.
Really at this point in time the last 20 or so years have been critical with Satan stating in 2008 the ToZ is 2 years ahead of schedule. Even if only less than 2,000 people participated in spiritual warfare up to our Yahoo days in 2014 with the 42NOG Ritual.
So it's not so much the Gods can't or wont that is stupid. But it's more like they'd like their influence and magick back on this planet. So we are breaking the waveform that surrounds this planets and reduces the Gods grip on it.
It's a battle of tug of war the rope is being pulled on either side or wheel and basically we are pulling the wheel/rope more over time.

The short answer is that the binding of the Gods was in reference to the local conditions of Earth/our dimension. This is why a human is needed, or at least it would be much more efficient this way.
By empowering HPS Pythia on her quest, Satan did undo the bindings.

Because it is literal. The post that Power of Justice linked above is written by HP Zevios. It's important to note that HP Zevios did not free any of the Demons, so he is just trying to create his own theories about how it happened. So it should just be disregarded. HP Pythia and the others who did free the Demons always spoke of it as a literal thing. There's a post with evidence from HP Pythia's posts that the binding and freeing of the Demons is to be taken literally:

Don't be so sure about what I have done or haven't done in that department. I just don't feel any need to expand on subjects which clearly, do cause a lot of confusion that can only be rectified by knowledge, which I provide in my original topic and all my replies on the subject. Having done this explanation, I understood this for some people will always remain not understood until it finally is.
My statements and explanations should in fact amaze anyone at her capacities, not the other way around. However, because your mind behaves in the way that it does, you think there are comparisons, despite of the fact someone was kind to embark on the subject to further it. There are actually none of these.
