As one who deals with rampant and uncontrolled bouts of extreme self-hatred, to the point of suicidal ideation and clawing away at the face.
How can I decisively put an end to negative thoughts?
My intent is to move away from negativity, towards neutrality. Not false positivity.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

Be careful how you write.

Suicide is not a solution at all. It doesn't solve anything to end your own life, as all the problems one has to get them there remain unsolved and are taken with you to the next life.

Suicide is a means to a permanent end. Life is to have no end at all, suicide is the end of life. More so than death is if this decision is made due to inner problems.

The only time suicide is a solution is if one has been imprisoned in a place with no hope of escape and staying alive will only subject yourself to a fate worse than death.

On no other circumstances is suicide ever a solution.

For years I have suffered from low self esteem, and negative thoughts. I attribute them to an 'enemy program' of Christianity. Comments and observations from JOS strongly resonate with me. I started doing various mediations, and I think for the first time I felt comfortable being in my own skin and body. The first time I felt that, it was so profound, and life changing,

That feeling of comfort didn't last forever, unfortunately. But when I really think about it, it is necessary for me to sometimes feel not so good feelings, as they clue me into dangers that could be happening in my surroundings. There are crappy people in the world unfortunately. I just know now that I don't have to take it personally when someone does something rude, uncalled for or says something nasty. How to deal with it effectively is a continual process, but it is getting better. Like way better.

It could be useful to start a feelings journal to express yourself. Some people like to write down all their negative thoughts on a piece of paper and then release them to the fire. Some form of artful expression might help such as painting, poetry or music to give your soul an outlet for what you're feeling. Sometimes this can lead to resolution and catharsis.

Lilith is also wonderful for healing these sorts of troubles and regaining a sense of wholeness, confidence, healthy identity and selfness. It might be useful to ask Her for help on this one.
