Question #1354: Metadata of uploaded files

I have a feeling, that recently we have spam of recently created accounts, many posting in really similar writing style.

Therefore I have a question. Is it possible that they can be infiltrators who would like to try to harvest metadata from uploaded files to identify author? I don't know if it's technicaly possible, but if so, we should be careful here in regards to forum members' anonymity.

I don't trust these 2 post accounts being like "let's create new super forum to share our work!", lol. Correct me if I'm wrong

Yeah these fake ass joy and attitude so wierd and suspicious but I don't think we are in danger.

I hope nobody upload pictures that was directly taken with their phones, because they are harvestable as I know, but maybe the forum has a security thing for that.

Metadata can be removed from files before uploading to the web.
