Pythia

Because that is who she is.

Although, the title has been conferred on several women throughout the Archaic and Classical age, perhaps even into the Bronze age.

That actually felt like I was reading a quick summary of our High Priestess Pythia. The obvious irony of writing this as it is her. I hope my point is clear though.

Because she has been sanctified. Her "mortal" identity is totally irrelevant and reductionist compared to her consciousess.

Also if one looks up who Pythia is you may understand better.

The same goes for the Gods. Many people are obsessing over "Gods in flesh and bones" (which they also are) because this is the only level they could relate but the soul and consciousness of a God is far more vast and encompassing.

The physical/material existence is the lowest level of existence. Most people "believe" they have a soul and spirit but due to lack of Zevism and spirituality almost nobody could get any deeper than that.

After a point, names may no longer matter - it is the function that people have that matters.

Ironically enough, I realised that when reading some stuff about WarHammer 40k. There is this 'Emperor-God of Mankind'. I had thought to myself, 'didn't he have a name or something?'. Yeah, but after millenia of existing as the ruler of the Earth, his name would mean nothing. John Andrews? Harry Ferris? Who cares. What mattered is that he was the focal point for Earth-dwellers.

Likewise, our High Priestess, the Founder of JoS and the mother of ToZ. Some people will remember Her by Her earthly name, but us, and the world, will know Her by the title - Pythia.
