Praying to Satan

I never pray to Satan, I only do rituals rarely. I feel uncomfortable to ask Satan for things beyond my reach, since I'm not advanced enough. I believe that I'm wasting his energy and that by asking him for something, that I'm bothering him. How do I change that belief?
