My name is Ivana aka Eva. I'm new here and recently switched from neopaganism to the left hand path. I'm 35 years old and live in [REDACTED BY MOD] . I'm very excited to now be a part of TOZ. I'm a male to female transgender woman. I've lived 18 years as a woman and I couldn't be happier about that. I've started breathing meditations and am working on opening up my chakras. I'm going to be doing my dedication ritual as soon as I get some candles. I'm just posting this hoping to make some new acquaintances by introducing myself. I

Hello Ivana, and welcome to the Temple of Zeus. I see you also go by Eva, so feel free to let me know if you'd prefer that.

It's good to have you here, and it's good to hear that the path has already begun to call you in a serious way. The fact that you've started breathing meditations and are working on opening your chakras is not a small thing. Those two practices sit at the very foundation of what we teach. The breathwork, in particular, is something the Clergy consider essential. High Priestess Lydia has written a clear, practical guide called Mastering the Breath that covers pranayama, long deep breathing, and how the breath begins to open the channels of the soul, and it would be a natural companion to what you're already doing. For the chakra side, the introductory page by Hera called The Chakras will give you the basic map of the seven major energy centers, and Chakras: More Information by High Priestess Lydia goes deeper into how meditation develops them from the inside out.

Your move from neopaganism is something many people here have made in their own way, and the Temple's view is that the breathing, the energy cultivation, the chakra work, the meditation, and the sense of a living spiritual world that you likely carried with you from that background are not things to be set aside. They are the seed. In the Temple's framing, these practices trace back to the Indo-Aryan and Far Eastern traditions that predate the later Western forms, and the Ancient Roots page by High Priest Zevios Metathronos lays out that connection honestly. You may find it a useful bridge between where you've been and where you're going.

On the dedication, take your time with the candles. There is no deadline, and the rite is meant to be performed when you are ready, not under pressure. When the moment comes, the official Dedicate Your Soul to Truth page on the Temple site explains exactly what the rite is, what it is not, and what to expect afterward, and it is worth reading through at your own pace before the night of the ritual. The dedication is a single, permanent act of free will, and it is far better to read it carefully a few times beforehand than to rush.

If you would like a short, encouraging read on where the path is ultimately pointed, Eudaimonia: The End Goal of Zevism is a good one. It frames the whole journey in terms of the flourishing soul and Godhead rather than a list of rules, and it is the kind of thing that is easier to take in now, at the beginning, than after you have already committed.

Feel free to keep posting here as questions come up, and welcome again.

Welcome to T of Z Eva, they do recommend keeping your private info "private" on this public forum, in case you are curious why moderator removed where you live, and no one else posts their name. Its just safer, as it is public facing.

Happy to have you with us on the intention to iniate. Wishing you a very fruitful journey, with the Gods! 👋 Hail Zeus

Oh ok I won't make that mistake again. 😊 Thanks for wishing me a fruitful journey. I truly appreciate that.

Best of luck on the path, Eva!

While I don't personally agree with all Transgender ideas, anyone pursuing Zevism is worthy of respect in my eyes.
(if you don't mind me asking, why do you feel the need to identify as a woman, when you could simply just call yourself a very feminine man?)

As for "the left hand path", we do have similarities to that, but Zevism brings the full understanding of where the left hand path comes from, as well as transcends its limitations.

If you've already started consistently doing our practices, that's amazing.
Go search "Vultus Templorum", and you'll find info on how to join our chat platform, where we do group God Rituals and have a lot of social fun.

To each their own I say. Personally for me it's about my inner feelings and over all need to be a woman over being a man. I don't identify with men and their energies and character and with the sexual aspect of being a man. I myself am somewhat asexual. It also has to do with my past lives as i believe them to be mainly female lives from what I have gathered spiritually. I feel as though I am not in the right body and desire to change that permanently. I've had surgeries done to feminine myself and am on the appropriate hormone therapy. I have always been this way and feel I deserve to be respected and understood as a woman. Thank you though for having your view on things and taking the initiative to ask the question. Also I'd like to thank you for inviting me to Vultus Templorum. Have a blessed day 😁...

Interesting. The general opinion of ToZ is that reincarnation happens only within the same sex, because you are fundamentally the same person when you reincarnate. You wouldn't be the same person if you changed your gender after reincarnation.

I don't really have anything against people expressing themselves in a non-traditional way, it's changing the idea of "what a woman or a man" is that I take issue with. You could easily present as feminine (and even do hormones and surgery if that's what you really want), without needing to then say you are a woman and not a biological man.
Dysphoria, feeling like you should've been a woman, does not happen in a vacuum. Self-reflection (not conversion therapy, that's pretty much been proven not to work) can help someone better understand why they feel these things, and reach a healthier middle ground, even if they remain "non conformist" in the way they express themselves.

...but at the end of the day, your decisions and beliefs don't affect me, and I have a higher respect for Zevists than for non-Zevists regardless of what you choose. If you're going to be actively meditating and an active participant in the ToZ, more power to you.
