Hello!

I just became part of this group and wanted to introduce myself. I am a recovering christian starting on what I do hope will be a better and saner life path. Yet at over 57 years of age, I'm sure some of you will feel I'm either too old, or think that I am some sort of christian infiltraitor. Actually I'm just an old fart that's fed up with all the graft and corupption I've seen in what passes for a "Religion of Truth".

Anyway, hello. Now I really should wander off and try to learn something of Satan.

Hello, your request has been granted ! :)

Instead of having all this information in your signature, you could post them on your personal feed, perhaps leave a link to this if you plan on periodically updating things or adding to it.
Your signature does take up too much space, it is a whole post of its own, and it will show up under all your replies, which is disrupting.

I'd suggest to keep your signature concise, limited to a few lines of text or one quote you find inspiring/interesting.

My bad... lol. Perhaps we should prevent old threads from ever being bumped. Like maybe a two year limit...

It wouldn't be a good idea to blanket-target all old threads as there could be pearls among them, but mods and admins could have the right to impose a restriction on an old topic that has been bumped, and by doing so it would not get bumped with new posts and is returned back to its old place before the bump.

I apologize if it's an obvious thing but could you please tell me why I'm not seeing anyone's signature even after having checked the "show people's signatures with their messages" box in settings?

I don't think that's a good idea. There are good posts out there, sometimes they become relevant again or people have followups to make. It doesn't hurt for them to get bumped, especially on accident.

Yeah, I will think about it.

Have a little "This thread is more than ... years old, do you wish to reply anyways?" warning somewhere near the "post reply". This can also be hyperlinked to somewhere where this is explained.
