Hello.I hate to post this now, because i dont wanna sound rude or demanding, but Im getting a dog tomorrow and wanna name him "Enki" and need to know if this would seem disrespectfull to our creator. If so,perhaps one of the demons or Demi-Gods. As i said I kinda need an answer ASAP. Sorry about the short notice, I just found out. I realize it takes forever for messages to get through, and again, no disrespect towards the editor. If anyone has any thoughts I could run through & choose myself(I find this important, hence, some ideas) I would greatly apreciate it. Thank you so much for your patience.

Bloody Hell, it always pisses me off when I played online or posted on a forum - people COULDN'T be creative, they were LAZY enough not to think and thus we have/had: Saurons, Sarumans, Fordos, Batmans, Spidermans, Drizzts, Belials, Lucifers, Astaroths, Samaels, Uriels etc.

Jason - This is not to offend you, but to show you the fact that inventiveness is so much better than ripping off names that already exist. Play a Forgotten realm game (Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights or any other) - there are TONS of names and you can change them according to your will.

Appreciate a response, however its been many years since I've played kids games. Perhaps my son has heard of those, ill be sure and ask. I just figured since I will be dedicating him to Father and the fact that it would be a good way to introduce anyone who asked to the history of the Gentile race-hence, the story of Enki, well, those are my intentions. I only need to know if our Gods would take offense and if so, what would be appropriate to our Gods that could bring around the same results. Me, I personally find it offensive to name anyone after the Gods, why not look up some greek spirits like; "Eurobus" or even name him after a planet, like; "Mars". Or look at some old english folklore or look through history or an Edgar Allen Poe poem to find some names, anything besides "Enki" that seems like a slap in the face.

How about instead of naming the animal after Enki, maybe try naming it after what He brings. Perhaps the name "light bringer". That way if someone asks about the name, you could then explain how Enki/Satan is known as the bringer of light and truth and since the animal also brings you joy that reminded you of Father so hence the name?

I don't know what Gods would say to this, yet I assure you - cRPG are not kids' games - try to figure out one of the titles, play it - you will see how childish they REALLY are.

Besides, how can YOU dedicate him to Father, if the dedication has to be willing? Sure, we would all want our children to follow the True path, none the less we can only tell them what the benefits are - smells of persuasion, but... WE ARE RIGHT!!

By the way, if you want to "convince" your child to dedicate itself, why not learning about the Gods' history? Sitchin and all this stuff around JoS - enough to enlighten your child (and everybody else).

Inventiveness in this respect does only harm. Whereas "Diamond", "Faith", "Lucky", or any other that is not "typical", though in US it may be - don't know - in Poland naming somebody "D±b" Pl. "oak" is sick to say the least, taking into consideration that the oldest oak in Poland is named Bartek. Pl. "Bartholomew". This is a solitary instance, but still...
