Its more like practicing on your thoughts and how you are able to know your thoughts and how you perceive them. Once you get the hang of how you know your thoughts and hearing on the astral thinking they are your thoughts can become a lot easier.
Take the time to read a short positive phrase or anything you can do to speak in your mind you'll start to notice how you feel your thoughts more often like you would any other sense, now that you have the time to diffrentiate your thought process it is able to control your thoughts and have peace with yourself so the next time you void you'll know without happening to think again while in void. It will become a whole lot easier.
