Mixed pendulum readings

When I use my pedulum there have been times that when verified answers have been incorrect and I'm not sure why. I always go into a trance and focus on nothing but the question I am asking it. Some of the answers are correct (even ones I couldn't possibly have known before verification) so I know that its not completely fucked. This worries me because I've been relying on it for correct answers and its discouraging that they could be wrong (my soul name, past life info, etc.) I would ask my new ouija board, but because I feel like I know the answer immediately I'm worried I'm the one answering. I know that this is one of the methods, but I have a very active imagination and I don't want it to run away with me!
Basically I'm discouraged with my divination devices and any tips, besides those on the site, I've read these topics extensively, would be greatly appreciated.
